Open Water Scuba Diver, Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and finally Instructor level courses are major stepping stones in your development as a SCUBA diver. As a diver progresses through their training, they will typically also want to take certain specialty courses which focus on and develop specific skills, such as extending depth limit from 18 to 40 meters, utilizing enriched oxygen gas mixes to extend the bottom time, diving in overhead environments such as wrecks, and many others.
At Tec Dive Nomad, we recommend the following progression through the learning process: 1) Open Water Diver; 2) Advanced Diver program including Deep Diver, Navigation Diver, Nitrox Diver, and Wreck with Limited Penetration Diver full specialty courses; 3) Master Diver program including Rescue Diver with CPR, AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Provider; 4) Divemaster.
To earn a certification, our students must achieve a level of competency that meets or exceeds the industry standards. For most courses, these standards dictate a certain minimum number of open water dives that must be conducted during the course however students often require more than the minimum number of dives to master the required skills.
Our course prices include training agency fees, academic classroom sessions, training and consumable materials, and instructor time. Students are required to purchase a dive package for the number of open water dives as required to complete the course.
